The Chinese hybrid wheat, which was selected by the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry and went abroad to Pakistan,
welcomes a bumper harvest. Even with the rare high temperature this year, the highest yield per mu of the nearly 10,000 mu demonstration area still exceeded 400 kilograms.
As Pakistan's largest grain crop, wheat has a planting area of 9 million hectares in Pakistan, with an output of about 26 million tons and a yield of less than 200 kilograms per mu.
It is imminent to improve the per-unit yield level.
